Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has confirmed to USA Today that Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 is being written by Terry Rossio. And Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 will likely be a stand-alone story, it won’t finish on a cliffhanger:

“The audience told us what they loved about it is that it was fresh, it was new, it was a whole new story. So that will carry over into the next one, too, to give it something fresh and different. As long as the audience embraces this one, we’ll certainly try to make another one. It’s really up to Johnny. He loves the character.”

Let’s hope that Johnny Depp will really sign up for Pirates of the Caribbean 5: I can’t imagine the franchise without Captain jack Sparrow!
